If you guys stay in
a hostel or are going to stay in a hostel, read along….
The kind of dorm
room which I stay in is provided with a bed(without a mattress), a study table,
a chair and a cupboard. So this is a list of essentials which I prefer. You can
add on stuffs as per your convenience.
So lets get
started!!
Bedding:- Mattress(If not already provided by your college)
- At least two Bed sheets
Go
for bright and colorful sheets rather than dull and nude colors.
- Pillow/s
[you can also buy throw pillows or
soft toys if you want to spice it up a little]
- Comforter
- Thick Blanket(for the Winter)
Toiletries:
- Body wash or soap(whatever you use)
- Face wash
- Hand wash
- Loofah
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Serum
- Razor
- Two pair of towels preferably white
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Mouthwash
- Two buckets and a mug
Laundry
Requirements:
- Detergent powder
- Detergent bar
- Stain remover
- Laundry bag/ basket
- Cloth clips
For the desk:
- Desk calendar
- Lamp
- Pen/Pencil holder
- College supplies
It
may include your college books, notebooks, stapler, scissors, post-its, glue
and other kinds of stuff.
Closet requirements:
- Hangers
- Closet organizer baskets(to store your socks or lingerie and other stuffs)
- Command hooks
You
can attach this to the inner side of your closet door and use it to hang your
scarfs or sling bags or anything that you'd like.
Electronic
Gadgets :
- Iron
- Laptop
- Cellphone
- Boiler/ Induction
- Hair dryer
- Hair straightener
- Hair curler
- Power bank
- Headphones
Other stuffs you
might want:
- Rug
- First-aid kit/ Medicine box
- Sewing kit
- Small umbrella
- Room freshener
- Mosquito repellant machine
- Trash bin
- Mirror
- Plates, bowls, glass, spoons, fork, knife and of course a coffee mug.
- Storage containers
- Loads of picture frames and
posters to hang on wall if wanna decorate your room.
